I left all my Halloween decorations up through mid November so that my family could check everything out when they visited. Note that puppies and props do not mix well. My partner's family even visited and they weren't completely aware of the level of my Halloween obsession and were blown away by everything, but particularly the Hogwarts-themed bathroom. It was so fun getting all the glowing feedback.

It took me until the first weekend of January to tear everything down. It took quite a while to film and photograph everything for my tutorials. I must have a thousand photos from different angles and aspect ratios to pour through, but I'm looking forward to working everything up in Premiere.

Today is January 14th and I think I've had enough distance from Halloween to start planning once again. I'm going to focus on my tutorial videos for the next few months, but I'd like to create a few more creatures - maybe a deep sea diver or an Egyptian sarcophagus. Or maybe I'll create a booth with zombies trapped inside. Or maybe I'll create my first animatronic by following a tutorial I saw online for a puking skeleton. Who knows! I should probably take a step back and renovate a couple closets to hold it all.... There are a lot of boxes clogging up the basement hallway still.
